Well, for better or worse, it's been a very fucking long time since I wrote a blogpost. To those wondering "What's the dealio, Emilio?" I'd like to say that first of all my name is not Emilio, and second of all, for like the past month I've been writing down a bunch of my more personal thoughts in a physical notebook with a fountain pen. Now I've got some thoughts on the process.

First of all, I never realized how nice it could feel to put words down on a sheet of paper. I suppose years of being forced to write shit on bad paper with mass produced pens can really put someone off the process. If you've never used a fountain pen on some really good paper before, I totally recommend it, it's a night and day difference than scribbling on some loose leaf with a cheap ballpoint.

I suppose because writing like that actually feels pretty freaking good, it encourages me to write down everything I'd normally put in a venty, ranty blogpost in my notebook so I can reflect back on it later and determine if it really needs to go up on the site (Spoiler alert: 95% of the time it really doesn't.) I guess this is kind of like being one of those guys who are really into bespoke mechanical keyboards. I do wonder sometimes if that would make the act of writing on my PC a more pleasurable experience as well, but at the moment given how I treat my desk I feel like having something like that would be a waste. Still, maybe it's worth a shot.

Ahaha, I've gone off topic, either way what I mean to say is if you find a method of recording information that works well for you and you end up using it regularly, it will pay for itself, right? That's how I'm feeling with my notebook and pen right now.
